1. What We Collect
When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. When you upload a deposition transcript, we store the PDF content, the AI-generated analysis, and associated metadata (file name, page count, practice area). We do not collect payment information directly — billing is handled by our payment processor.
2. How We Use Your Data
Your transcript content is used solely to generate the analysis you requested. We do not sell, share, or disclose your documents or analysis to any third party. We do not use your documents to train AI models. Aggregate, anonymized usage statistics (e.g., number of analyses performed) may be used to improve the service.
3. AI Processing
Transcript text is transmitted to Anthropic's Claude API over an encrypted HTTPS connection for analysis. Anthropic's API terms explicitly prohibit the use of API inputs to train their models. Your document content is not retained by Anthropic beyond the scope of the API call. For Anthropic's full data handling policy, see anthropic.com/privacy.
4. Data Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. Access tokens expire after 7 days. Each user can only access their own transcripts — cross-user access is technically prevented at the database level.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
You can delete any transcript at any time from your dashboard. Deleted transcripts are permanently removed from our database immediately. To request deletion of your account and all associated data, contact us at the email below and we will process the request within 30 days.
6. Attorney-Client Privilege
LitiGenie is a tool used by attorneys to assist with litigation work. We do not access, review, or disclose transcript content except as required by law. We recommend that attorneys review their firm's technology use policies and any applicable bar guidance on cloud-based legal tools before uploading privileged materials.
